Basement Flat Conversion - Hackney, E5
Done in two stages due to a pause in 2020, we are happy to have now completed this total conversion of a former shop basement to a lovely, functional one-bedroom flat with fitted wardrobes our carpenter built on site. The project included substancial structural work, newly laid concrete floors throughout, new ceilings, some internal layout reconfiguration to move the bathroom to the back and full plastering, electrics and redecoration. We fitted a gallery-style kitchen and added a small WC/utility room to the bedroom. The building had been affected by damp and tanking was required in certain areas to make the space habitable. The glass doors dividing the space allowed for a bedroom with sufficient natural light to be designated.
